Christmas Dog

As dog owners we all want to ensure our dogs enjoy a wonderful Christmas, but with the celebrations come potential dangers that we all need to be mindful of.

In terms of food chocolate is very toxic so save those Christmas tree chocolates and keep them out of reach of your dog. If you’re thinking of serving up a Christmas dinner for your dog remember Turkey skin can cause pancreatitis, cooked bones are brittle and can splinter and choke your dog not to mention the toxic onion found in stuffing. There are some great Christmas inspired treats for your dog if the way to your best friend’s heart is through his tummy!

Bandit the Beagle relaxing in the garden

Unfortunately, Bandit had not been improving after his hydrotherapy, so, following consultation with both the vet who performed the surgery & the Dog Studio, we decided that we should stop his hydro sessions for a while and see if physiotherapy would work.

We were straight out of bed and found Tyler our black Labrador, stumbling around, banging into doors and walls and he then fell on his side with his legs paddling in the air. He wasn...

Following CT scans showing signs of cartilage damage in one front elbow and possible degeneration due to the onset of arthritis in the other Bandit, my beloved Beagle, had to have a double arthrotomy in March. No definitive cause for the cartilage damage was identified but a twist or pull when...

After much internet searching trying to find someone who could look after our dog, Bacchus, to the same standard as we do, we stumbled across Sarah and Dexter (Wagging Tails CV area). I was unsure as to whether she'd be willing to accept Bacchus as not only were we just outside the "areas...

Wagging Tails franchisee Sarah Evans with her dog Dexter

As an only child I grew up with a menagerie of dogs, horses and guinea pigs as playmates. I spent many happy hours with the two family Boxer dogs in the garden building jumps and obstacles for them to jump over.

After leaving home I pursued a busy and fulfilling career in Central London...
