National Pet Month 2021

From April 1st – May 3rd animal lovers are celebrating National Pet Month (NPM). The aim is to promote responsible pet ownership and to help pet charities raise money and awareness. Throughout the month pet lovers come together for in-person and virtual events to help raise money for charity and share in the enjoyment of being a responsible owner.

The ethos of National Pet month is echoed by Wagging Tails. As one of the UK’s leading home dog boarding company’s our aim is to promote ethical and responsible home dog boarding, making all owners aware of what they should expect from a professional dog boarding service. We have been operating for over 14 years and franchised the company over 10 years ago to reach the demand we were seeing from dog owners – demand that we are seeing once again increase as lockdown restrictions ease.

It’s reassuring for our owners to know that we ensure all Wagging Tails dog carers are experienced dog owners, who are vetted – their homes and gardens inspected by our franchisees and their own dogs, licensed (either individually or under their franchisee), and insured. In addition, our owners get to meet their dog’s carer before the board in what is called a ‘sniffing out meeting’ and we never mix different family’s dogs together; so dogs get all the love and attention a dog on holiday deserves, our carers get the company of a canine holiday guest and owners get absolute peace of mind!

We are also huge supporters of dog-related charities, helping to raise much-needed funds and awareness in any way we can, and over the past 14 years we have supported: Dogs Trust, Guide Dogs, Hounds for Heroes and we are now entering our 7th year of being charity partners of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whom we have raised over £20,000 for and have our own Hearing Dog in training called Neve.
